  • Tom Heath

    Pastor

    Tom began his pastoral ministry with FBC Meadow in November of 2021. This year, he and his wife, Diane, have been married forty-five years.


    For more than three years before coming to Meadow, Tom served as the Senior Adult Pastor and Missions Pastor at Bacon Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock.  He has a passion for deep and meaningful Bible Study, holding to the truth and inerrancy of Scripture.


    Tom is the published author of the Christian Fiction Novel, Lord of the Harvest, Westbow Press, 2015.


    He has a heart for BSM Summer Missions and served in Huntsville, TX during his college days at Angelo State University in San Angelo while earning his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.


    Tom plays the twelve-string guitar, and both he and Diane are soloists in the church music program.


    The couple have two married daughters and five grandchildren.

  • Loyd Jordan

    Worship leader

    Loyd grew up in Meadow and has been a part of FBC his entire life.  He came to faith and was baptized at age nine.  


    After playing football at Colorado State and then graduating from Texas Tech, Loyd returned to Meadow as Youth Minister in 1971-72.  He married Leslie and beginning in 1973, together they served in the Youth Department for many years.  He became the FBC Worship Leader in 1976 and was ordained as a Deacon in 1982.  


    Loyd began the Community Christmas Cantatas in 1976 which became a yearly custom in Meadow for the next thirty-nine years.  His greatest joy is family which includes three adult children and their spouses, and nine grandchildren.  The presence of God in his life is expressed through his love of music and worship.  


    Loyd has led worship at FBC Meadow for over forty-five years!

  • Shirla Bayer

    sanctuary pianist

    Shirla has lived in Meadow her entire life.  FBC has always been her "home church," with her accepting Jesus into her life during VBS at age nine.  


    She began filling in as the church pianist while in the eighth grade, and became the full-time sanctuary pianist at the beginning of her senior year at MISD in 1970.  After graduating here, she attended Texas Tech University before working as a secretary at Meadow schools for 28 years.  


    Shirla and her husband Alan were married nearly 45 years before his death in 2017.  She has three married children, six grandkids, and three bonus grandkids.  


    Shirla has been the sanctuary pianist at FBC for over fifty-three years!

  • Debra Mccallister

    Sanctuary Organist

    Debra is a native of Brownfield, Texas, and is a graduate of Texas Tech University.


    After marrying Pete, Debra moved her membership to FBC where both of their children surrendered their hearts to Jesus.  She taught twelve years at MISD and twenty-three years at Lubbock Cooper. As a teenager, Debra began using her gift of music in support of various youth choirs and as the pianist for several churches.  


    Debra has been the sanctuary organist at FBC Meadow for over forty-five years.

    financial secretary

    Amber teaches full-time at Meadow ISD while also serving as the church financial secretary.  


    With a heart for youth and children, Amber is the Director of the Wednesday Evening Children's Ministry.  She also serves as Co-Director for Vacation Bible School each year.  


    Amber and her daughter, Melanie, sing in the Sanctuary Choir.

  • Diane Heath

    Church Secretary

    Diane is married to our pastor.  


    She is an avid quilter, blessing others with her gift of sewing. She takes an active role at the church in preparing and serving meals as a hostess.  


    Diane's office responsibilities include maintaining the church calendar, producing the weekly newsletter and worship bulletin, and updating the website. She is Co-Director for Vacation Bible School.  Diane also leads the aged children's choirs on Wednesday evenings.

  • Trevor Brockway

    Youth intern

    Trevor attends Texas Tech University, having graduated Valedictorian from Meadow High School in 2023.  


    He leads the youth on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings as well as special events such as Youth Camp and youth service projects.  Trevor has a heart for missions, just recently returning from serving this summer in Branson, MS.
